Healthy Aging for Women Part 2
This workshop will focus on preventing the chronic diseases of aging such as heart disease, hypertension, breast and uterine cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and osteoporosis. Participants will complete a self-assessment of their own risk factors for diseases of aging. Walk away with an understanding of your own risk factors for chronic disease, understanding of the aging process, and ideas to prevent, reduce or reverse these risk factors.

Ruth Wingeier is a certified nurse-midwife who has been in practice in central Minnesota since 1982. For over 35 years she has been working with women of all ages and is an expert in women’s health. She comes from a nutrition and natural healing background. She has been in private practice in Long Prairie since 2011 since leaving CentraCare Clinic to provide out-of-hospital birth and focus on women's health care. She received her BSN in nursing from Rush University in Chicago, IL, in 1977, and her MS in nurse-midwifery from the University of Minnesota in 1982.
