Change is in the air. This has been a very exciting start to the New Year for me. As I mentioned previously I was not real happy with my success so far on this journey and decided to change things up a bit. I started by doing a “Dump the Junk” mini cleanse this week that Cornerstone Health Team created and feel wonderful!!! I am on day 4 of the 5 day cleanse and I am feeling so much more energetic. Dump the Junk has so many handy charts, lists, recipes, and information it made this week a breeze. My husband and son also decided to join me and they too stated they are feeling a lot more energy. Several people are planning to do it starting on February 1st, and I would highly encourage everyone to give it a try. After the holiday season and winter doldrums it is the perfect time. It certainly was the kick start I needed to get me on track for a healthy happy 2016.
During my last blog I mentioned my exercise needed a change and here is what I did. I have decided to do my exercise in the evening which has been going very well. My goal was to start at 15 minutes on the treadmill for a week and increase it by 5 minutes. Well truth be told I have found I am really enjoying it. Not only am I doing my 15 minutes a day I am doing 20 or even 30 minutes at times. Maybe that was the key I needed to change. Or maybe it was changing the exercising from the elliptical to the treadmill. Variety is the spice of life and it was time to shake my program up. One other major change I have done was to do a better job of tracking my progress and recording on a daily log. This will prove very beneficial as we continue to tweak the program to give me the best results on my Quest to Be My Best. My latest measurements are down inches everywhere but I was really excited to see I have lost 5 inches off my stomach, which is where I carry most of my weight. Stay tuned for next week’s blog and I will reveal how many pounds I am down. If you would like more information or are interested in doing a mini cleanse let me know.
